Upgrading from 4.7.2 to 4.10

I know each version has it's own upgrade instructions. And the safest path is to upgrade a step a time following those instructions, right?

4.7.2 -> 4.8.0

-> 4.8.1

-> 4.9.0

-> 4.9.1

-> 4.10

I was wondering if there were any "supported" shortcuts?
